Program Instructor – Connections

Job Summary
Elements Calgary Mental Health Centre is seeking a highly motivated, team-oriented individual with excellent people skills to implement the Connections program, a three day per week program for individuals with mental illness.

Responsibilities and Duties
The Program Instructor is responsible for program planning, development, overall operation and instruction of the Connections program including:  curriculum development, intake interviews, program instruction, individual support, follow-up, goal setting and program evaluation.

Qualifications and Skills
Successful candidates will possess a Bachelor’s Degree in social work, psychology or occupational therapy.  Applicants will also have experience in program development, management and instruction, as well as excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills.  Direct experience working with individuals with mental illness is required.

Artists

Elements Calgary Mental Health Centre is seeking artists to provide sessions or workshops in our Fine Arts Program for individuals with mental illness. Focus areas are:  painting, drawing, sculpting, fabric design, print-making and mixed media creations.

A minimum of a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree, with related experience and knowledge in the visual arts is required.
